Insatiable AMAZON

I didn’t mean to see him naked--it was an accident.

It had to be, right?

Because Noah McCormick and I have never been anything more than friends. In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never once laid a finger on me. And even though he was a cute lifeguard at 16 and a hotter-than-hell sheriff’s deputy at 34, he's always been that protective guy I could trust to keep his hands to himself. I never wanted to mess with that.

Until I walked in on him getting out of the shower and saw his hard, muscular body totally bare and dripping wet. At that moment I never wanted to mess with anything so badly in my entire life.

I should have covered my eyes. Said I was sorry. At the very least, I could have handed him a towel.

After all, I was only in town for a few days, and he was just doing me a favor by escorting me to my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t a real date.

But I didn’t apologize. And he didn’t cover up.

(Talk about a hot mess.)

After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.

He’s made it clear he’s not interested in romance. Which is fine with me because

I’ve got a plane ticket back to my real life at the end of the week.

It’s all in fun...or is it?

The Sinclair heir review and release blitz, Eliot Scott

Again, I wanted to love this book, but I just couldn’t. It moved way too slowly to me, and although the flashbacks were fewer this time around, I still found them to be annoying. I wonder if the books were organised differently it may have read easier.
Anyway, this was a solid end to the story, even if it didn’t grab me as much as I hoped. πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–

Everyone knows when a Sinclair boy loves a Wallace girl people die.

The first time JoJo Wallace smiled, she had my heart. When we kissed, she owned my soul.
And when she gave me her everything, I took it…consuming her when I had no right.

At first, we were just kids falling in love. We didn’t know about the generations-old feud between the Wallaces and the Sinclairs. I also couldn’t imagine Jojo’s destruction had been planned by my father when we were babies. To Father, the feud came first. I was simply bred to participate. My love for Jojo became his weapon, and to keep Jojo alive, I became the perfect son.

I never thought Jojo would come back after Father’s death. Never thought she’d smile at me or kiss me again—or that I’d let her. She’s the last woman I should ever touch. Only Jojo’s relentless. She’s no longer a child that can be frightened away. She’s made me dream again…made me feel. But before this goes too far, I need to get her away from this town and the rest of the Sinclairs who would see her dead.

Why? Because she’s a Wallace and I’m a Sinclair. She’s something I’d kill for, and I’ll hurt her again. It’s what I do. But Jojo Wallace, she’s impossible for me to resist.

Red, white, and royal blue review

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while and I finally got around to it. I’m happy to say it did not disappoint!
I loved Alex, and Henry. They’re great and have some truly touching moments.
I also loved the supporting cast of characters, even though I did get confused with some of the names and introductions. I also felt a bit confused with some of the girls sexual orientations and feel as if that may lead to something later on.
One thing that I didn’t like was the fact this book was written in third person. At times I felt it was a little clunky and not at all smooth.

Still, this was a great book and I loved it! πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–

I read this for the ultimate reading challenge October challenge, a book recommended by a friend.

Moonlighter review, Sarina Bowen

This was an intriguing book. I liked the mix of mystery and sport, even if I wished there was a bit more sport, but that’s a personal preference.
I loved Alex and Eric’s story. They’re great characters, typically Sarina, and always great.
I also liked the intrigue and the supporting cast of characters, I’m interested to see where the rest of this series goes, especially as it’s a little obvious the storyline here will continue.

An interesting read, give it a go! πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–

The Wallace girl review and release blitz, Eliot Scott

I wanted to love this book. I loved the premise and I absolutely love how we’re introduced to Alex, I loved him immediately.
But WAY too much time was spent on the past. Perhaps it might be important in the second book but the current story felt slow and didn’t progress. Once I knew the basics about what happened in the past I didn’t need to know anymore. More to the point, I didn’t want to know anymore. I wanted to know what was happening today and I got very little of that.
I also felt in the past JoJo was overly naive, and didn’t suit her age.
I’m sincerely hoping things progress more in the second book, they kind of have to in order to reach a conclusion, but this book was hard work. Sorry! πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–

A steamy adult romance saga
By Eliot Scott

* The Feud Series is an adult/coming-of-age, enemies-to-lovers romance and contains mature themes not suitable for readers under 18*

Blurb:
A hate that spans generations.
A brutal fight over who owns the land, who controls the water, and who can destroy the most lives.
A love doomed from its very beginning.

When Alex Sinclair first spots JoJo Wallace on the shores of his favorite lake, he doesn’t know about his family’s sordid past and how itweaves in and out of the Wallace line. He doesn’t know that she’s the girl who will own his heart completely. And he can’t imagine the torture he’ll be forced to put her through and the poison he’ll unleash.

She’s a spitfire soul with wild auburn hair—a girl that will haunt his dreams and rule his future. He’ll do unspeakable things, and the consequences will have the power to end a century-long feud.

To end her.

But JoJo was born just a little different than the other Wallace men and women. She was born to love big and see all that’s good—the good in Alex. And when she comes back to take what’s hers in the wake of Alex’s father’s death, she’s no longer the innocent, naΓ―ve girl the Sinclairs
have long underestimated. She’s a fighter.

And she isn’t leaving until she ends it all—for good.

Just roommates release boost and review, Charity Ferrell

3.5 stars.

For the most part, I did like this book.
Once it got going that is.
The start is kind of a mess. It’s rushed and info dump-y and I think there was probably a better way to describe the events of the past in an easier way. I did enjoy the banter between Maliki and Sienna, so not all is lost, but still, it was an awkward telling events.
I liked Ki. I really loved his POV and sometimes wanted more of it. There were also a few time where I wanted to wring his neck, but he redeem himself, eventually.
Sienna annoyed me a few times, *ahem* Devin, but I think she got there in the end.
The twists were interesting for me, but only if something similar hadn’t happened earlier in the book.
This is an okay book for. Fans of Charity’s will love it, but as a first-time reader it didn’t all work for me,

Sorry! πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“”

The biggest benefit of staying here is being around Maliki. That compensates for the lack of space. I point to the bed that’s complete with a blue plaid comforter and matching pillows. “That thing better be comfortable,” I joke. “Babe, anything is more comfortable than sleeping next to cheating slime.” Truth. He moves to the side, allowing me entry into the room. “I’ll grab you something to sleep in.” I look down and pull at the hem of my silk blouse that I paired with black, leather-look leggings and studded gold sandals. I collapse onto the bed and kick off my shoes, exhausted. I need a decent night’s sleep so I can figure out where I’m going from here. Maliki returns with a change of clothes, but I’ve already slipped underneath the blankets. “I’m too lazy to change,” I say around a yawn. He chuckles, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. “That’s the best kind of drunk. I’ll be downstairs if you need anything. Call. Text. Come down.” I nod, giving him a shy smile. “Thank you.” My breath knocks against my lungs when he reaches forward, clips a fallen strand of hair away from my face, and tilts his head to the side. “I don’t get it.” I blink, shuddering at his touch. “Get what?” “How a man can cheat on you.”   OPTION #2 “I can read you like my favorite book, Sierra. I see you—the real you, and as much as you fight to hide every thought running through that pretty little head from me, I see it. Let me give you an example: Right now, I see how pissed you are at me.” I lower my tone. “I also see how much you want me.” She reaches down to dig her fingers into my hand resting on her thigh. “You’re so full of yourself.” I raise a brow, staring up at her. “Am I lying?” “Maybe I can see through you. Maybe you’re the one who wants me.” “Trust me, you can’t read me.” She laughs. “Oh, but I can. Do you think I don’t notice your jealousy as much as mine? That I don’t see how you have to snap yourself out of your feelings for me? You want me as much as I want you, Maliki. The problem is you’re too chicken shit to do anything about it.” “Too chicken shit?” “Too fucking chicken shit.” My lips crash into hers. Chicken shit, my ass.   TEASERS ABOUT THE AUTHOR Charity resides in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dear Jerk Across the Street, sorry for accidentally walking in on you and catching an eyeful of your—equipment. And hard pass on the open invitation to join you in the shower “anytime”, A-hole.

That’s the note I should’ve written. Instead I sent a pleasant and apologetic version.

Had I known Phoenix “Nix” Russo would’ve been the neighbor from hell, I’d have told him right where he could shove my words.

Nix is the big man on campus with everyone lined up at his games to make sure he knows it. Sure, he’s got piercing green eyes, abs that don’t quit and a smile that could set fire to a set of panties from a hundred yards away, but he’s also the biggest pain in my ass.

Dear Pink-Haired Menace, learn how to take a joke and stop being such a kill-joy...

Elle Masterson called the cops on one of my parties—again. My sweet talking usually gets me out of trouble, but this time it got me into a nice pair of silver handcuffs. Now I’m on a reputation rehab tour with a stop at a spring break community service project.

Guess who’s my new boss?

Now we’re shoulder to shoulder, sweaty, tired and…she’s not anything like I expected. There might just be a heart under that hardass exterior. She’s invading my dreams and I can’t shake the feeling she’s the key to unlocking a piece of me that I’ve hidden away.

It’s only a matter of time until she finds out why I’m really here.

Maybe I can break through her walls and into her heart before that happens...one screw at a time.

Excerpt

“I’ve missed this,” he whispered against my lips.
“Me too.”
His fingers tightened around the hair at the base of my neck. Tilting my head to the side, he ran his lips over my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
One second we were standing in the middle of the pitch-black room and the next the whole world tilted. I landed against Nix’s solid chest.
“Are you okay?” I tried to push myself up.
He tightened his hold around me. “The stress balls, sweatpants, and t-shirts cushioned my fall.”
“Thank you for today.” I peppered his jaw with kisses.
“Thank you for letting me do this for you.” The outline of his erection pressed against the front of my mound. Just one inch higher…
He wrapped his hands around my waist and lifted me, perfecting the angle.
I shuddered and ground my hips against him. Someone walked by the door, but we didn’t stop—couldn’t stop.
His hands cupped my ass, dragging me harder against him. The texture of his jeans added extra sensation against my clit. I was on fire for him through two layers of clothes.
My short gasps and his low groans were the only sounds in the room other than the fabric friction.
“We should get back out there.” I raked my teeth along the side of his neck.
“You’re probably right.” His hips shot up and I wanted to scream in frustration that he wasn’t inside me, but I didn’t want to break from the thrumming pleasure rushing all over my body.
“In a second.”
“In a minute.” His tongue danced with mine in time to the rhythm of our hips. Laughter rang out in the hallway behind the door, but I couldn’t stop. If someone came in, there wasn’t anything that would stop me from dry-humping Nix into next week.

Dreams of 18 review and release blitz, Saffron A Kent

I was initially attracted to this book because of the best friend’s dad thing.
While that is strictly true, it’s not really a theme of the book. This reads more like your typical age-gap romance.
To start, I really liked Violet. I thought she was cute and quirky but as the book wore on, the more i found her to be immature.
I didn’t really like Graham. I’m not entirely sure why. I think because he never really lets his feelings for Violet show, even though everything he does is for her. To be honest, I liked Brian a lot more than his dad.
This was an okay book. Not as incredible as the recent best friend’s dad books I’ve read lately, but it’s not terrible either. πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“”

Violet Moore is in love with a man who hates her.

Well, to be fair, she kinda deserves it.

On her eighteenth birthday, she got drunk and threw herself at him, causing a huge scandal in their sleepy suburban town.

Now everyone thinks she’s a slut and he has disappeared. Rumor has it that he’s been living up in the mountains of Colorado, all alone and in isolation.

But Violet is going to make it right.

She’s going to find him and bring him back.

No matter how cruel and mean he is, how much he hurts her with his cold-hearted and abrasive ways, she won’t give up.

And neither will she think about his tempting lips or his sculpted muscles or his strong hands. The hands that she wants on her body, touching her, feeling her skin…

The hands that make her want to forget everything and kiss Graham Edwards – Mr. Edwards, actually – again.

Because you don’t go around kissing your best friend’s dad, do you?

Even though that’s all you ever dream about.

Unexpected fall review and release blitz, Kaylee Ryan

This was an okay book. I loved the first book in this series, it’s one of my favourites, but I wish these books were true standalones.
Yes, we know Dawn and Mark have a history, but we don’t see that. We don’t even see the start of their relationship. I wanted that, if, for nothing else, than a connection to the title. From what we’re shown, this isn’t an unexpected fall for Mark, it’s a gradual one that’s developed over years. I think that’s what also bothers me, is that this relationship takes years to get to the point where we pick it up. What the heck was happening all that time? It’s been made to seem in other books that this was a forgone conclusion. Apparently it wasn’t. Even if more than half the book is them going on about how scared they are to tell each other their feelings.
That being said, I did like the twists and turns this book takes, even if at one point I hated Dawn.

But I can’t get over the chosen starting point for this book. It’s a solid book but a little disappointing. πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–
