An okay book.
I thought the first book was too short. This one was too long. The first half of the book nothing happened. There was longing, but literally nothing happened. And I kind of think it was a theme for the book.
There was promise; especially with Aurora’s issues, but they were kind of swept aside. I wanted something to actually happen with them, rather than them be a stumbling block.
The same with Austin. I wanted a massive fight, a big come to Jesus moment, and we sort of got it, but not quite.
Harper redeemed herself, I thought she was going to be annoying, and the jury’s still out on her, but where did Jordan come from? She just appeared out of nowhere.
I feel like this book needed one big thing for it all to come together, and instead we had a whole heap of little things that almost brought it together, but it feels a bit fragile.
